The role

About the Role

South Coast Home Physiotherapy is a physiotherapy-led home rehabilitation service covering Hampshire and south Wiltshire: five physiotherapists, private clients at home and partner care homes. We are adding occupational therapy so our clients can get equipment, adaptation and daily-living support from the same small team that handles their rehabilitation.

You would carry out home assessments, recommend and arrange equipment and minor adaptations, advise on seating, positioning and daily routines, and work alongside our physiotherapists on shared clients: post-operative recoveries, falls and frailty, hospital discharges and long-term neurological conditions.

The working pattern is the same one our physios value: full hour-long appointments, a sensible local round rather than a packed list, and the autonomy to make your own clinical decisions with the team a phone call away.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in community occupational therapy, elderly care or neurological rehabilitation
  • Comfortable being the first occupational therapist in a physiotherapy-led team and helping shape the service
  • Clinical quality matters more to us than a minimum year count

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in occupational therapy with HCPC registration and RCOT membership
  • Full UK driving licence, your own car and business-use insurance
  • Enhanced DBS check (we arrange this with you)
  • Professional indemnity insurance (standard for self-employed clinicians)

Questions About This Role

Self-employed. You invoice us at sessional rates and look after your own tax, National Insurance and professional indemnity insurance. We provide the referrals, the bookings and the clinical framework, and if you are unsure whether contracting suits you, we are happy to talk it through before you decide anything.

Anywhere from 4 to 30 hours a week, built around your availability, and growing as demand on the patch does. There is no minimum commitment while the caseload builds.

On a defined patch around Hampshire and south Wiltshire. We plan each day as a sensible local round rather than a scatter of long drives, and we shape the patch around where you live.

Yes. Every appointment is a home or care home visit, so you need a full UK driving licence, your own car and insurance that covers business use.

Email your CV to hello@schp.co.uk with a few lines about the caseload you enjoy. We reply to every application, and an informal phone chat before you formally apply is always welcome.
