What to Expect From Your First Visit

Your first appointment is a relaxed, thorough conversation followed by a physical assessment. We ask how the problem started, what makes it better or worse, and what you want to get back to. You leave with a clear explanation, a plan and your first exercises, and we agree together how often we should visit.

A wide range: general joint aches and pains, osteoarthritis, balance problems and falls, recovery after surgery, stroke or a long hospital stay, and long-term neurological conditions such as Parkinson's and MS. Whatever the need, our aim is to help you stay active and independent.

Physiotherapy improves strength, balance, mobility and confidence, eases pain and stiffness, and helps you manage long-term conditions. Most people find they can do more, with less worry about falling.

No. You can contact us directly. If you are claiming through private medical insurance, check whether your insurer needs a GP referral first.

Your first visit includes a relaxed conversation about your history and goals, a physical assessment, a clear explanation of what we found and an agreed plan. Follow-up sessions combine hands-on treatment, guided exercise and progress checks.

Sessions are typically around an hour, giving plenty of time for assessment, treatment and questions without feeling rushed.

It depends on your goals and condition. Some people need a one-off assessment and a home programme; others benefit from a block of regular sessions after surgery or a hospital stay. We will give you an honest estimate after your first visit and review it as you progress.
