Home Visits

Staying mobile and independent matters. Whether you are recovering from an illness or operation, living with a long-term condition, dealing with new aches and pains, or simply want to feel steadier on your feet, our physiotherapists come to you, so you can get stronger and move better in your own home.

Every clinician on the team is HCPC registered and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and every one of them has been trained specifically to assess and treat people in their own homes.

Because we see how you actually move around your kitchen, stairs and garden, the exercise plan we build is realistic for your space and far easier to stick to. You choose a time that suits you, and there is no travel and no waiting room. Some people search for this as in-home physiotherapy or domiciliary physiotherapy; whatever you call it, it is the same full appointment at your door.

Available across Southampton, Portsmouth, Fareham, Winchester, Salisbury and everywhere in between.

Common questions

Home Visit Physiotherapy FAQs

Anything else? Ask us directly. A physiotherapist answers every enquiry.

No. You can book directly with us by phone, email or online. If you are claiming through private medical insurance, check first whether your insurer needs a GP referral or authorisation code.

Everything the session needs: assessment tools, resistance bands, weights and any small equipment for your programme. You only need a chair and a little floor space.

Around an hour. That gives time for unhurried assessment, hands-on treatment and practising your exercises without rushing.

Southampton, Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport, Eastleigh, Winchester, Romsey, Andover, Salisbury, Amesbury and the villages in between.

Usually within days. We plan our rounds town by town across Hampshire and Wiltshire, so there is often a slot near you in the same week. If you or a relative are coming out of hospital, call before discharge and we will aim to visit within 48 hours of getting home.

A session is £90, which covers the full one-hour visit, your exercise plan and the clinical notes we keep. If complex needs ever call for a second therapist, any extra cost is discussed and agreed with you first.

We work on a pay-and-reclaim basis: you settle our invoice directly and we provide a detailed receipt with everything your insurer needs. Check with your insurer before the first session that your policy covers physiotherapy at home.

Check three things: HCPC registration, which is the legal requirement to practise; experience with your particular condition or age group; and recent reviews from local clients. We provide home visit physiotherapy across Hampshire and south Wiltshire, from Portsmouth to Southampton and Winchester to Salisbury, with every clinician HCPC registered.

Yes, NHS community physiotherapy teams do visit at home, usually after a referral from your GP or hospital, and demand means waits of several weeks and a limited number of sessions are common. Private home physiotherapy runs alongside NHS care rather than replacing it: we can usually start within days and continue for as long as the rehabilitation genuinely needs.

For most of the people we treat, it is at least as effective, and the research on older adults supports home-based rehabilitation. You practise on the stairs, chairs and floors where you actually live, exercises fit real routines so they keep being done between visits, and nothing is lost to a tiring journey before the session starts.
