These are the terms on which South Coast Home Physiotherapy provides its services. We have kept them short and in plain English, because terms you can actually read are terms you can trust.
Last updated: 27 September 2026.
1. Who we are
South Coast Community Physiotherapy Ltd, trading as South Coast Home Physiotherapy, provides home-visit physiotherapy across Hampshire and Wiltshire. We are a limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 15697992. Our physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). You can reach us on 023 811 12998 or at hello@schp.co.uk.
2. Appointments
Appointments are arranged by phone, email or through the website contact form, and we confirm the date and time with you in advance. A standard session lasts one hour and includes assessment or treatment, your exercise plan and the clinical notes we are required to keep. Current session rates are shown on our pricing page; if rates change, existing clients are given notice first, and the price agreed for a booked appointment never changes after booking.
3. Cancellations and missed appointments
If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give us at least 24 hours' notice, because your physiotherapist sets that time aside and travels to you. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, and appointments missed without notice, normally carry a charge of 50% of the session fee.
We will not charge this fee when the reason is genuinely unforeseeable, such as a hospital admission or sudden illness. If your physiotherapist ever has to cancel, for example through illness, there is no charge and we will offer you the next available appointment.
4. Fees and payment
We invoice monthly in arrears, and payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date by bank transfer or card. There are no deposits and no obligation to book blocks of sessions: you pay for the care you have received. If an invoice remains unpaid well beyond its due date we may pause further appointments until the account is settled, and we will always talk to you before doing so.
5. Health insurance
If your health insurance covers physiotherapy, you pay us directly and claim the cost back from your insurer. We provide itemised invoices and receipts for your claim, and our physiotherapists' HCPC and CSP registrations satisfy most insurers' requirements. Please check your policy covers home-visit physiotherapy, and whether you need pre-authorisation, before your first appointment.
6. Your care
Everything we do starts with an assessment, and your treatment plan is explained and agreed with you. You may decline or stop any part of assessment or treatment at any time, and you can have a family member or carer with you at any appointment. To keep your care safe, please tell us about changes to your health, new symptoms and any changes to medication.
Physiotherapy works alongside the care of your GP and consultants and does not replace it. For urgent or worrying symptoms, contact your GP, NHS 111 or emergency services rather than waiting for a physiotherapy visit; we flag anything of concern we identify, with your permission, to the right clinician.
7. Working in your home
Your physiotherapist brings the equipment each session needs and works with the space you have. All of our clinicians carry professional identification, are DBS checked, and treat your home with the courtesy you would expect of a guest.
8. Insurance and liability
South Coast Home Physiotherapy holds professional indemnity and public liability insurance, and evidence of cover is available on request. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
9. If something isn't right
Tell us. Raise anything with your physiotherapist during a visit, or contact hello@schp.co.uk or 023 811 12998. We acknowledge complaints within three working days and aim to resolve them within twenty. Concerns about how we handle personal information can go to the ICO as described in our privacy policy.
10. The website
Information on this website, including our guides, is general education and is never a substitute for individual medical advice, assessment or diagnosis. Content on the site belongs to us and may be shared for personal, non-commercial use with credit.
11. The legal bit
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. If we update these terms, the current version will always be on this page with the date above.
